Ascendancy Padel Tournaments
Privacy notice
Last updated 16 October 2026. In plain English: what we keep about you, why, and how to get it changed or deleted.
Who we are
Ascendancy Padel Tournaments is run by Shaun and Rob as part of Ascendancy Active. We decide how your information is used. To contact us about your data, message us in the Ascendancy Active WhatsApp community or on Instagram at @ascendancy_active.
What we keep
- Your account: name, email address, mobile number if you give it, and your password. Your password is stored scrambled (hashed), so nobody, including us, can read it.
- Bookings: which events you asked to play, whether you were confirmed, paid, checked in, cancelled late or did not turn up.
- Results: your scores, games won and placings on the nights you play.
- Your choices: whether your name shows on the public leaderboard and whether your player profile is public.
- Payments, once online payment is switched on: paying is handled by Stripe. We only see that you paid, the amount and a payment reference. We never see your card details.
- Visits to this website: we count page views per day and which website sent the visitor. This count holds no cookies, no IP addresses and nothing that identifies you. If your browser asks sites not to track you, we do not count you at all.
- Security logs: our web server keeps a log of requests, including IP addresses, for up to 30 days to protect the site against attacks.
Why we use it
- To run the tournaments you sign up for: bookings, confirmations, schedules, scores and results. This is needed to provide what you asked for.
- To email you about your bookings: requests, confirmations, reserve places and reminders. We do not send marketing emails.
- To keep things fair: the late cancellation and no-show rules in the terms.
- To show results publicly: leaderboards, the live Tonight page and the results archive. You can hide your name, and it then shows as "Anonymous player" or by your number.
- To keep the website secure.
Who can see it
- Shaun and Rob can see your account details, bookings and results to run the events.
- Other players and visitors can see your name and results on leaderboards and the Tonight page, unless you hide your name. They only see your player profile if you make it public.
- Service providers that run parts of the service for us: the private server the website runs on, the email service that sends our emails, and Stripe for payments once that is switched on. They only use your information to provide that service.
- We never sell your information or share it for advertising.
Cookies
We use one cookie, and only when you log in. It keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. It is essential for your account to work, so there is no cookie banner. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
- Your account stays until you delete it.
- Results are part of each night's record. If you delete your account, your name is removed from them.
- Backups of the database are kept for 30 days, and security logs for up to 30 days.
Your rights

- Correct it: edit your details on your account page, or ask us.
- Delete it: use "Delete my account" on your account page.
